Got a text from my brother yesterday that there's flood in their place.
Our city mayor also made an announcement for the cancellation of classes April 11th until 12th due to the terrible weather.
Even though students are still having online classes, it has to be cancelled because power outages are expected. Yesterday, we had power interruption twice. The second one was a shutdown for safety purposes. Fortunately, it lasted only about 30 minutes.
I didn't want to check the news for deaths and property destruction. But I still keep hearing it.
I am grateful that we are not affected by the flood. I pray for the rain to stop but checking the weather forecast, this will last until Sunday. This is an odd summer season.

@LadyDuck Right. Yesterday, I heard there's too much damage and casualties and some people are still missing. Even though the rain has stopped yesterday, some provinces were still under water.

The rain has stopped this morning but the surrounding is still wet. The sky is still gloomy though so I believe that it's till going to rain. But at least not continuously.

Typhoon season here normally starts in July. It’s summer season here and on summer days we don’t even get the sight of rain at all.

There’s no damage there because the maids were able to secure all belongings downstairs. And the flood wasn’t deep in the house. The water just got in. But the first floor wasn’t really under water.

I hope the same for the sake of those people who are directly affected. And I hope no more deaths.
