I woke up to a beautiful morning today so I was in a really good mood.
I even did some unpacking and organizing of the things from the previous house. I only did about 10% though. Had a lot of things to throw away. Spent about 5 hours doing it.
Then we decided to go out and just drive around the city. It's like a ghost town. All the malls are closed and majority of the restaurants too. It's Maundy Thursday after all. People usually don't eat meat and some are even fasting. We don't. So we went to look for a pizzeria that sells beef pepperoni and thankfully we found one that's open.
While waiting for your food, the sky started to become dark again and then it started raining.

I went grocery shopping this morning and the stores were crowded. Tomorrow many public offices are closed and people will leave for a few days vacations, those who remain invite relatives for the Easter lunch, so they were all busy buying what they needed. For us is Holy Friday no meat and fasting for the younger.

Friday here and everything is closed. Stores and malls will reopen tomorrow. People will be crowding the malls on Easter Sunday.

@toniganzon Friday is only a holiday in the French side of Switzerland, here the Monday after Easter is always a holiday. From today we will only see tourists here, the locals all left to go to the beaches in Italy or up in the mountains.

@LadyDuck If there was no calamity in the past days we would have too many tourists. The holiday started Thursday and will bye until Easter Sunday. Everything will return back to normal come Monday.

Ooops! Sorry about that rain.
It looks a bit dull here today, the sun is trying to break through but not quite making it. It's not raining at the moment though.
I don't eat meat anyway!

If only you could come over there's still tons of stuff that need sorting out.

Wow, is Maundy Thursday considered a religious holiday in your country? I would be upset if I couldn't find any place open.

I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.
