I know that potatoes are very versatile but I do sometimes find them a little bland. Just plain boiled potatoes are not my thing at all. I like creamy mash. Roast potatoes are a favourite. I also like to have a jacket/baked potato sometimes but need something tasty to go with it. I don’t really eat chips/fries very often. I do make a mean dauphinois potatoes though ….cream and cheese ….yummy.
What is your favourite way of cooking/eating potatoes ?

@traceyjayne I find them quite boring, although I’m quite good at growing them and have a healthy crop ready for lifting in about 6 weeks which I’ll pass on to my children and their families. After boiling new potatoes I like to finish them off by frying them in butter with fresh rosemary and sea salt and garlic.

I usually grow my own too …easy to do and great when you eat something that you have grown yourself.

I eat them in every way. Sometimes, when I don´t want to work at the kitchen, I boil them, peel them if I boiled them unpeeled, bring the butter and eat them hot with only butter and salt. I mash them then with the fork.

I have a ‘ masha ‘ machine that makes lovely smooth and creamy mash.

Potatoes are one of my faves, especially fried with bacon, carrots, and onions. Then topped with cheese. What are dauphinois potatoes?

Dauphinois potatoes are layers of potato, onion and cheese in a cream and milk sauce. Delicious.

I don't eat potatoes any more. They're not really recommend on a macrobiotic diet.
