Good Friday for Catholics

Traditionally, Good Friday during Holy Week is a day of fasting and penance. It is also the day we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I am not the religious type but I make it a point that I dont disrespect holy and sacred day. I stop and pray and honor. In my country Philippines , we have a lot of activities during Holy Week. We go to church for our Way of the cross, holy mass, processions and a lot of reflecting. Some of us have their own vows everytime Holy Week arrives. I know some members here have a different religion and beliefs, what do you usually do when a Holy or sacred day or week arrives? I want to know some ...

I used to do the Visita Iglesia. This year though, I'll be doing it online.

@allen0187 We used to do that too when we were young kids. Now we just stay at home and pray .

@iKONICNoona I do miss doing the real thing. If I didn't have a shift last Friday, I would have probably gone out and do it.

I am not religious, when I was young we used to go to the Procession on Holy Friday.

@LadyDuck Attending procession on Holy Friday is a tradition here in the Philippines it is the 3rd day and is believed that Jesus was buried on that day. Prayers and vigils follows right after.
