Songs in My Head - 4/15/22

I haven't posted a song in my head for quite some time. I always have some sort of song rolling around in my head; but I forget them if I don't write them down.
Today's song was originally written and composed in 1974 by Donna Weiss and Jackie DeShannon. It was recorded by DeShannon but did not become hugely popular until Kim Carnes released "Bette Davis Eyes" in 1981. It became Billboard's biggest song of the year and won a Grammy for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Bette Davis sent a letter to DeShannon, Weiss and Carnes to thank them for making her "a part of modern times".

She got Bette Davis eyes"

it was a big hit in the uk, not sure if it was as popular elsewhere.I dont know any other song by KimCarnes or what happened to her

How the heck did I miss this one. Hmmmm..............
I like that song and just heard the 1974 DeShannon version, sadly hers' is not as good as Kim's.

I don't know why I missed this post. This song is really kool but now I want to hear the DeShannon version. I hope it's on YouTube
