I was trying to log into my state employees account this morning. I wanted to see what my retirement account was.
It said I had the wrong password.
I started out with the wrong e-mail, my bad.
I had the wrong temporary password, which was sent to me when I said I wanted to update my password.
Created a new password. Tried to put it in two or three times, due to the temporary password thing. Challenge questions, twice.
Yep, it is two more years until I am vested, this time. There is not much in there, either.
It surely was a mental workout, logging in.

The government is trying to “make things easy” with one login for all the government sites (the VA, Office of Personnel Management, etc.). Given that it’s the government, you KNOW how that is going to turn out.

Remember when you only needed a 4 or 5 character password and you could use it for everything? Technology is getting too too.

Now it is twelve with one upper, one lower, one number and one special character and five security questions.

I hate when that happens especially with the secret questions because sometimes I use answers relate to my husband and other times for myself.
