I saw a commercial where a dog was licking his owner's face and it reminded me of Perky. He was a black terrier my mother got for my stepbrother for his birthday. The dog didn't take to my stepbrother but sure did to my mom. She named him Perky Velvet. He went everywhere with my mom. Or, if she happened to leave him home for some reason, when she got back the dog would lick her face and wag his table for a good 5 minutes. I would be so grossed out. I can't believe people let their dogs lick their faces. Do you see where a dog licked on its own body? Yeah! It's disgusting.
Poor dog. He had a sad ending too. Mom had to go somewhere and was backing out of the driveway in a hurry. She ran over Perky. Mom was so sick about it.

I think I'd die if a dog licked my face. Seriously.
My erstwhile husband ran over our grandkitty Alfie. He was beside himself with grief. They used to watch hockey and eat peanuts together.

I cannot stand any dog licking me in the face since germs in the saliva of the dog after he or she licks their own body.

That's horrible. I can't imagine how awful she felt about it. So many pets get killed that way.

She was usually okay running around the car and all so those in the house didn't think anything of it.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry about Perky. We've let our dogs lick our faces. We wash them afterwards.
