My Day As A Helper

Today hubby asked me to help him with rewiring the trailer he uses to haul the lawn mower to our house in Louisiana to cut the grass. The wiring messed up at the end of last summer and of course, he waited to take action to rewire it. The grass is high and has not been cut yet this season. Since the temperature has warmed up and all the rain we had in the last week and a half, the grass is really tall!! He cut most of the yard here and it already needs another cut. So today I spent most of my time handing him needle-nose pliers, clippers to cut wire, threading wires through openings, pulling wires and bringing him water every now and then. It wasn't hard, and was on and off because he had episodes of vertigo and had to stop for a few long breaks. But, but he insisted on finishing up. I was inside and heard the $!%&#! exclamation. I went outside and asked what now? He said the back wasn't working after replacement. I told him that he should of picked it all up earlier but told him now that was his sign to stop. He agreed and picked up his tools. I guess I will be in for another round of helper tomorrow. Photo is of a smaller trailer. Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

I'm sorry he's having trouble fixing the wiring.

He will figure it out. He just lets the temper get the best of him.

You've been a good helper. He surely needed an extra pair of hands.

It saves time, especially when he leaves tools out of reach and has to get out from under the trailer and get back down there.

@kareng Yeah I can understand. I would be needing assistance too if I was working on something like that.

@toniganzon I think I would be more annoyed than he gets when something goes wrong. I just hate that part of it.

Me too! He gets bit easily by mosquitoes so I knew I'd be hearing all about that all night long and complaints of itching. I am anxious to get on with the next big project!

We have rewired a trailer from time to time. It's awful when you think it's all finished but then it won't work.

Yep, he had planned on running all new wire this time but changed his mind when he got to the back end of the trailer and tied into the existing wires there. He finally found where the broken wire was and I didn't hear any cussing today!! But he has complained about all the mosquito bites!
