Childhood Memories - #1

@JudyEv suggested that we talk about our childhood memories; so I guess it's my turn. My very first memory was standing in my crib and singing the commercial for a popular tea at the time. More memories: waiting for my father to come home from 2nd shift...watching Soupy Sales when sitting in my highchair eating lunch, dropping my mother's silverware down the furnace vent...biting into a thermometer because I wanted to see what was inside and my mother calling the Poison Control Center (or whatever was available at that time) to find out about ingesting mercury... I remember getting a bride doll for Christmas; and my mother putting it in the cedar chest and wouldn't let me play with it. She would let me look at it every once and a while. Crying because my mother wanted to cut my birthday cake which had Mary and her lamb on it. My mother had to peel off the picture and save it for me...bringing me into the house through the coal chute in the basement.
