A strange bear story from North Carolina

I know if I was in the shoes of Ashley McGowin who lives in Buncombe County in North Carolina, I would be in shock to learn that a female bear who was inside her auto over two weeks ago broke the front windshield of her auto around six thirty in the morning after the bear was trapped inside her auto for over six hours.
Ashley believes even though she has no solid proof that the black bear entered her auto since she did not lock her auto when she and members of her family went to bed on April 7th.
The bear got into her auto since there must have been an opening in the auto to get away from the bad weather. When the door closed behind the bear due to high winds, the bear and her two cubs were trapped inside her auto.
Thanks to the auto horn blowing a lot and the hazard lights were flashing when Ashley's husband left their dogs out to relieve themselves outside when they heard the horn honking a lot and the hazard lights flashing indicating a break in.
Ashley's husband was shocked to see the bear and her cubs trapped inside of their auto. The bear did punch a hole on the windshield and she and her cubs managed to leave the area safe and sound to go back to the woods.
This story does have an average ending since the insurance company told the McGowin family that the damage to their auto was severe enough that they will need a replacement auto.
Ashley has seen the silver lining in the incident that she can replace a damaged auto while the bear and her cubs are safe and sound.
There are bear sightings in Buncombe County in North Carolina. The good part is that bears do not go bear humans unless they see food in the area to eat.

You are right since the common thread is that bears like dogs do not like anyone going into their domain.

Wow, wouldn't that be a shocker? Not only a bear, but cubs! My worst fear is that a bear will smell something in the house...and fall through the deck trying to get in and would be stuck there. Wow..

I know what you mean since I know some things about bears like smelling food and chasing it.

I am sure that Ashley has learned her lesson.
