Cleaning Out The Cargo Trailer

Our plan for today was to clean out the cargo trailer that my husband has a lot of his tools and equipment stored in. We got off to a late start after lunch and worked hard on it for several hours. This trailer is 16 ft. long and has tools, a rug that I bought at an auction several years ago (I actually forgo that was in there), boxes of things from our offices (personal items) that we brought home when we retired, a few boxes of things from my booth at the antique store, a couple of saws and other equipment. My hubby was upset that I didn't just move things over to the storage shed. I wanted to go through the boxes from work and throw away things we didn't need. There was also a box of mail that belonged to my mother that I snagged when we cleaned out the POD trying to get her back into her house in 2019. I didn't want to move things that needed to be thrown away and it didn't take that much longer to look through the boxes. Nuff said!! We had a big cloud coming up from the southwest, but the rain did not catch us. We actually picked everything up quickly so we didn't get wet. The rain actually blew over us and we got no more than a couple of drops that escaped prematurely. The plan was to take the trailer with us to the other house tomorrow (Monday) and move his jeweler's bench, a tool chest, a couple of rocking chairs, and some boxes of things. However, we did not get the trailer cleaned out, only about half of it. I didn't think it was going to work, but didn't want to sound negative either. Plan is to get back out there in the morning and continue cleaning out the trailer. We have to be at the other house at 4 pm for a walk through. We will see how it goes. I do know one thing; we are both tired!! Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

Hopefully the work you are doing with your current husband goes smoothly, and according to your expectations.

Just a wee bit done today as I slept a few hours this morning. I didn't get to bed until 6 am. Hubby did a little out there but he will be home tomorrow and his goal is to move all his tools out.

@wolfgirl569 We got it too yesterday. We worked in old house and met the man that came to take pictures. Everything still on the move with that deal. Fingers crossed.

In a way, it's too easy just to move everything from one place to another and the need to go through boxes gets shelved for a few more months or whatever. I hope you get the trailer emptied tomorrow.

I think all the tools he has in there will be the worst part. There is one big saw left that will be a challenge getting out and into the storage shed.

We did just a wee bit on the trailer today before heading to Louisiana. We got a good bit done there today also. Tomorrow I have boutique and hubby is going to move tools out of trailer.

It's not "want;" it is "has to be" done!! I do know that my body hurts now from all the activity!
