I saw this flower on PBS's Antique's Roadshow. They were at the Botanic Garden in Wales. It is the rarest of plants. It has one large red flower and flattened, three-lobed leaves circling the stem. It is an attractive shrub.
PBS says only ten have been found while Bing says only seven remain in the wild. It was discovered in the early 1990s in the SW of Western Australia. It grows between Swan Coastal Plain and Whicher Scarp.

Is anyone doing anything to propagate this species?

Not that I saw. They do have a plant in the Botanic Garden so maybe they will at some point.
