One thing about the actions of an Environmental Conservation Officer (ECO) police officer who is being praised for his actions in the town of Carlton New York of simply what doing what is right when he assisted a red tailed hawk who had one of his legs trapped in a picnic table on April 4 is that the good deed that the officer who only is known by his last name which is Fonda is that he was the right thing to do without any expectation of a reward from the animal he rescued. Officer Fonda answered a call from a concerned person who saw the hawk who needed the help of someone to free the bird from the trap the hawk was in. Thanks to the actions of Officer Fonda releasing the hawk from the trap in the picnic table, the hawk was able to fly away to the outdoors free as a bird to enjoy its time. I am sure that the hawk wound up getting stuck on the picnic table searching for food that was on the table which caused the small accident that ended with a happy ending thanks to the actions of Officer Fonda who will simply say he was just doing his job to take care of an animal that needed his help.

I can imagine that getting trapped like that could happen very easily.

I agree with you since I cannot stand any animal that suffers being trapped on an object.

People from the Sheriffs department often rescue eagles a bit North of here.

Thank you for telling me that fact since it hardly makes the news on television about the good works they do to save animals from harm.
