A deputy in Georgia gains a friend after a rescue mission

Forsyth County Sergeant Pittman is making some good news in Georgia after he rescued a baby opossum who needed his assistance after the mom of the animal was separated over the weekend. What was the cause of the mom opossum and her baby being apart is not known as this time. The kind act of the deputy is being cheered is that that the baby opossum would have perished most likely from hunger and thirst from being on her own. Sergeant Pittman took the baby opossum to the local rehabilitation center. When the female opossum leaves the rehabilitation center, Sergeant Pittman will adopted her as his patrol partner and name her Emmy. Police officers have a soft spot for baby opossums as well as other animals.

Even though I do not know about opossum myself, I like the idea of Sergeant Pittman saving the animal.
