May is month of Fiesta or festivities of Catholic churches in different communities, barangay or village here. It was a fun occasion when I am still a child. Lots of guest and visitors. Lots of gifts. Lots of delicious foods serve. It change now. It is not as happy as it was before. There were perya too or carnivals. Sometimes it's extravagant sometimes it just simple. Since we are no longer Catholics we don't join this fiesta anymore. I wonder if there are lots of foods on Sundays. Tomorrow our relatives living in Caloocan City in Metro Manila will be here so my aunts will be busy with cooking. Do you have some fiesta in your place too?

No, we do not have fiestas, but the 1st of May is International Workers' Day (or Labor Day) and it is a holiday.

It is not every year. It is like every three years. Labor Day is Sunday so it will still be normal work day on Monday

We don't have fiestas on May 1 in India. It is however a holiday as May Day ( Workers' Day). We Catholics also celebrate it as St. Joseph's Day, Patron of Workers.
