Labor Day

First of the May is celebrated as Labor Day here, and it's a national holiday. As custom, people would go early in the nature (or previous day), make a big camp fire, and barbecue, party, play sports, and enjoy free time with family and friends. I was with my friends, but we didn't make a campfire, it was more fun as kids, and it can be dangerous since it's made in the woods. Even though we didn't make a camp fire, we didn't lack with barbecue. Do you celebrate this holiday in your country and how? Does it also accusers on the first of May?

Yes, we celebrate the International Worker's Day, there are parades in some bigger cities, but mainly BBQ parties.

@frenki People wait so long for the warmer days of May, as soon as they can they organize a BBQ.

@LadyDuck Indeed, it's same situation here. Specially now that weather changes a lot.

Hey Norra! It's nice to see you here again. The only thing this country really do on Labor Day, is to honor laborers but it turns into a rally for all the laborers. They rally for an increase in the salary.

@frenki Wow, that's why there's no party here but rallies because the laborers know it's the day that they are heard the most.

Hey Toni, nice to see you too. I haven't been active much anywhere lately. I do find it a bit ironic, since it's very much celebrated holiday here, and yet most of these people are hard workers that are not in so good position.

I don't really celebrate Labor Day, although a lot of people here have barbecues.

People like bbq here as well, and in May it's good weather, so I think that's main reason for celebration here.

We have a holiday here. But we don't celebrate it like you do. Just pass the day as any other day of the weekend. The Communist people of our country do make speeches and observe this day every year.

I suppose it's international holiday, but celebration varies from country to country.

Hey to you too :) It's been quite a while since I was active. Looks like most countries have it as holiday, just called and celebrated little differently.
