So, I had my dad on Facebook after he took off and sent nothing but a text. We didnt really interact much especially after the few broken promises of "Ill call you x" and then it never happened. He asked for my number after 2 years of no contact almost... In all honesty he was 2 years, a mentally abusive boyfriend and a sexually abusive boyfriend too late to try and walk back into my life. Recently he got remarried good for him I guess and honestly sort of expected it. What I didnt expect was to get blocked a day later lol.

If you gave him the impression that it was too late to be a part of your life, he just granted your wish and closed communications. It's likely best this way. You obviously don't want contact.

@Fa_Maverick Did you give him your phone number? He reached out to you. Did you shut him out? You have every right to, don't misunderstand me, I get why you're resentful, I would be too. But if he was reaching out and you were less than receptive, he likely thinks it's best to have no contact. And it is likely for the best, you already have the impression that he wasn't going to be consistent and didn't want contact with him unless he was. If you gave him your number, maybe one day you can resolve your differences. If you chose not to give him your number, then the blocking isn't such a surprise. I sure hope it gets straightened out one day.

@Vikingswest1 his friend request to my mother is still there and his new wifes friend request is still there in my friend requests too. Which is odd to me

Isn't it a good thing though? You are better off without him.

That makes absolutely no sense. I'm sorry it happened. Honestly, it sounds like you're better off without him. (*sigh* I try to be supportive when something bad happens but I'm not sure how, in this case.)
