Today, God wants you to know that in order to move forward you must open yourself to new experiences. There is no failing, only results. Be courageous and push yourself to new heights. Besides, what is going to happen if you make a bad decision? - You will learn from it. The more results you make, the faster you will reach your destination.
I gotta get moving.

I know this without god being involved
We have evolved as a species over many hundreds and thousands of years and this has been part of our evolutuon
Its why we are top of the food chain

But then for some people God is simply "intellect", "unconditional love" or anything higher than "animal instincts" that makes us superior to most animals.

That's true, failure grants as much experience as success, if not more.
I'd still be careful to not take too much risk, but we should get out of our comfort zone somehow.

@Deepizzaguy You have no idea how many times in the past week I said, "Okay, today I'm going to open my manuscript..." and then didn't. I have notes and even two full scenes that I want to add. I just seem to find other stuff to keep me busy.
