It had been some time now since I devoted time to book reading. 1st about the previous book I was reading : Persepolis : This was my first graphical novel that I read. One comes to know a lot about life in Iran during 1980s- The Revolution and Post revolution days as well as the Iran-Iraq war. Plus how the author (basically Iranian born) went to Austria and her experiences there. Overall, a good read if one is interested in graphical novels. One downside was the small print size, which can be straining to the eyes. 2nd: My new read : Former Indian Cricketer and Captain Sunil Gavaskar's Straight drive : published 2009 I was in mood for a new Non-fiction book as well. So here comes this book which has compilation of Gavaskar's columns written in different newspapers, magazines etc over the years. I am enjoying a frank and gripping manner of what all Gavaskar has to say; albeit controversial sometimes. I will perhaps share the pictures a little later. Update : 23.48 India time on 7th May 2k22 => ,Image added!!

I cannot seem to keep my focus to read very much. I do enjoy a podcast here and there. Maybe I should write my own book. Hmmm, someone once suggested that.

@CarolDM I wrote 8 books (and 1 play)--didn't make me rich but each was a great experience!

They sound like very deep and engrossing books.

@snowy22315 Plus with variety. One is of one's life in the bygone years and the second is a collection of newspaper columns and articles.

Sometimes it's really interesting to read old columns and hear what they have said about various players.
