BonBong Marcos Jr. the son of the former president of the Philippines
Ferdinand Marcos Sr. won the presidential race in the Philippines.
His father Ferdinand Marcos Sr. was accused of being the most corrupt president in the Philippines.
And now his son won.
I wonder if he really won the presidential race?
or there is an anomaly?
I did not vote for any president in the Philippines this election 2022.
So my opinion is not biased.
Do you think Bong Bong Marcos Jr. will be a great and a good model
to Filipinos? or is he going to be another problem and corrupt president?
What do you think?

There were some tax issues he had but I'm not sure how that turned out. Apparently, those charges didn't affect his popularity.
I honestly think that because his mother and father had so many issues of corruption, he will be scrutinized more closely and at least initially, will steer clear of inappropriate acts.
He needs to prove that he isn't a carbon copy of his parents and will be on best behavior.

I hope for the sake of your nation that Bong Bong is not the second coming of his late father and abuse his power on your people.

He has a pending disqualification case and the verdict will be out today. If he loses the case, his spot will be taken over by the daughter of the outgoing President.

Hopefully he is not like his father and proves to be good for the country. His father was a sort of dictator. Hope that he proves good for the democracy. I heard that there are chances that he might be disqualified with some cases against him?

@solidcodes That doesn't sound good. How come he got elected and that too the victory is a landslide one. Seems like most of the countries around the world, your country too is facing the scarcity of good politicians. We are left with very few options.

@solidcodes Someone from your country here said that he used his money and power to manipulate the vulnerable voters. That's not a fair way to win.

I voted with clear conscience and not for BBM. I am saddened that the electorate was lured into false news and false promises. I just hope that he does what he promised to everyone who supported and not supported him. Just disappointed to see congress will be ruled by the family too. It looks like the whole government qill be ruled by one family for the next 6 years.

@solidcodes Sad that we let this happen but I guess we should respect the majority for now and see how it would go.

The son of the former dictator. What else can we do, the people voted for him. Will support because at the end of the day, he is the winner and no one can take that power from him. But, I heard he has a pending disqualification case. If in case he gets disqualified, our new president is the daughter of the outgoing President Duterte.
