What do you think of the next move of the winners?

Yes. We all know that sometimes the winner will give some positions in the government to the oppositions. Although, based on the Philippine constitution, any losing candidates can't a new position in a year even if the President will appoint him/her. He/she needs a year first to rest before accepting any position from the President. If ever Robredo will be given a chance by future President Marcos to be part of his cabinet, what will that be?

I know nothing about politics in your country. Usually the party who wins try to have people of their same party in the government to avoid to have to discuss every decision they make.

That is the ideal way things should happen. But he campaigned and promised he will be a healing president that will unite the country and be great again. I am hoping he is sincere about that so I can finally live peacefully as well.

I do not know if Robredo would join her cabinet. The only reason why Leni joined President Duterte's administration was that she was the VP back then. But it is obvious that she was not given a free hand to handle things and was just played around to embarrass her and would be dismissed from her job so she will be shown as incompetent and not suited to the position. I would rather have her go back to her previous job as a private lawyer for the poor since she is good at that. I think she will be more at peace than involve herself with the government where mudslinging is part of the game.

@luisga814 Her intention to run for the presidency was sincere but she was not allowed to by the apparent majority. She has always said that if not for this she would have chosen a much more private life with her daughters. I think she deserves that peaceful life that is why she has not even encouraged her supporters to do something to protest and spread lies around just to get what she wants. She may not have conceded but she totally accepts and respects the mandate.

Is that possible Marcos and Robredo working together? I guess Robredo now is building up an NGO and will still help the country even if she is not part of the government anymore

Waiting for that. NBOC mentioned that it will take before the end of this month.

I think the idea of a year to rest before taking a new position is a good policy to have.

Yes. They should be in order to work better than thinking why they lost.

I don't know anything about the politics of your country. I don't know how it works.

@luisga814 Oh, I find politics boring. Boris Johnson has made a right hash of it! Parties in Downing Street during lockdown! The Prime Minister even got fined for that, and they were his own rules that he'd broken!

No worries. I'm just sharing it the politics in my country. How about in your country?
