Doctor Who filming?

This letter was tweeted by the Doctor Who production news Twitter account.
It concerns night filming on a street in Cardiff and is a letter sent to all the residents of said street explaining exactly what is going to happen.
Other letters have been sent and apparently a residents meeting took place.
Another person posted that the filming mentioned is for Doctor Who. She said they were told it was for Doctor Who at the residents meeting.
It could be for Doctor Who's 60th anniversary.
It's very exciting, but will be a bit disruptive for the residents.

I wonder how many will try to sneak a peak. When they send out things like that, usually you end up with a fair amount of people visiting the set lol.

Yes, even at night. And I guess even in the daytime when they're setting things up someone would want to go and take a peek. Imagine people in the houses on the street trying to take a peek out of their windows when the filming is going on!

@sharonelton I remember when Ladder 49 filmed behind my house. Traffic was terrible and people were everywhere trying to get a glimpse of the actors. Travolta did do autographs for a bit as well.

I'm sure I wouldn't mind. The residents will probably get paid some kind of compensation for the disruption too. I would love to be living on that street when the filming was going on.

Yes, it's nice to be well prepared. I don't know why it wouldn't happen where you are. It's only courteous to do that.

Wow! A very rare sight to see. Take advantage and sneak a peek on set. You might see something interesting. Maybe you might be cast as an extra too.

It would be lovely to do that but it's too far to go. But if I was a resident on that street I would be very excited indeed. I'd love to be an extra. That would be great.

@sharonelton I'm not a die-hard fan but I used to watch as a child. Tom Baker is the one I remember too!

@Fleura Yes, Tom Baker was great. I really liked him. I think he's probably the first thing people think about when they think of Doctor Who. The long scarf and all that.

Me? Yes! Massive Doctor Who fan. Been watching since Tom Baker. Actually I'm old enough to have watched Jon Pertwee but probably not old enough to remember!
