Dear Roseannadanna

Remember Roseannadanna from SNL(Saturday Night Live)? I think that was my favorite skit of hers.' Hers' being Gilda Radner. What a dear, sweet character she was. She and Wilder had just found each other when she was taken by cancer. Her character, Roseannadanna showed up on Saturday Night Live in February 2015. That was when SNL was really funny. I think they have left something behind since then. Not so funny anymore at all. Picture courtesy of Bing. Watch her at her best here:

@celticeagle — my favorite slap at Jersey came from the movie Chapter Two, where Joseph Bologna’s character said, “A girl like that, you don’t take her someplace fancy. You take her to New Jersey.”

It was a golden age at SNL. The show decayed into idiocy within a decade and I just lost interest. I don't think it will ever regain the popularity it had with the Not Ready For Prime Time Players. I really liked Gilda Radner. She played many characters that I enjoyed. She first played Roseanne Roseannadanna in 1977. Another person played the part in 2015. The most memorable skit for me was Radner and Belushi off in the future by the graves of all the others. In the skit, they were the last two members of the cast. Ironically, they were the first two to go.

No, I doubt it will regain the popularity either. Gilda was such a dear. How interesting about the Radner and Belushi skit. I never cared for Belushi but I am sorry I missed it. Sounds like it would be fun. I wonder if I can find it on YouTube.

I loved Gilda Radner . . . and Roseannadanna was completely hysterical. Right - that era of SNL were the best times.

@celticeagle I kind of remember a woman that sat in a huge chair. Could that have been her?

The early days of SNL were the only times that I watched it. After that it just wasn't funny.
