Magazines and Pinterest are a constant source of inspiration. My iPad and phone have multiple photos and patterns saved for future projects, In the last few months I’ve tackled some leftovers….practice blocks, extra blocks, samples….. It was time to create a usable piece. A picnic blanket, AKA my “Ugly Quilt”. As it morphed into a quilt I was not at all attracted to this quilt,but as it progressed, it grew on me. It will never be my favourite quilt, but it’s no longer “ugly”.

Not sure about artistic, but it’s practical and the colours won’t show the dirt too quickly. It’s my picnic blanket.

I strive to improve. I will choose more challenging patterns, but no…I’m okay with not perfect.

I think it came out really nice. Might not be your favorite but it's a winner in my book
