Frugal-ish Food/What's for Din? 5.12.2022

So we ran some errands earlier this evening, because a storm was supposed to roll in and I wanted to get the errands ran before it did. It ended up not raining or storming as bad as they thought it would, but that is besides the point. On the way back to the house I decided we should stop and try the Piggly Wiggly hot food deli. I have heard raves about it for years, and I figured tonight was as good of a night as any to go ahead and try it. So we went in and each got 3 chicken strip meals, with tator logs. They were $3.99 each. Which is not a bad deal. Or it woulnd't of been, if the food was any sort of good. The chicken was dry and pretty much flavorless. The potato logs were huge and were just like someone took a dry baked potato and tossed in grease for a few minutes. So while it was relatively cheap for both the other half and I to eat, it was not worth the price overall. So we learned a lesson. What did you have for dinner?
