Learning new things

I love learning new and interesting things. For years they were all things about my job and life (music, theology, linguistics, food allergies) and recently I got into studying geology as an entirely new thing. I've posted things here about earthquakes and volcanoes, so you probably know my interest in that. I now have a few online college courses in geology under my belt. Fortunately, it is such a broad field that there will never be an end to new things to learn! What have you learned recently that is not related to your job or previous studies?

I learnt Sanskrit before the lockdown. I plan to continue with the advanced course in that next year. From July I plan to learn Kannada ( speaking as well as reading and writing). I have picked up some bit of speaking by living here for almost 10 years, now I want to master it.

I've gone back to brushing up my French on Duolingo. I enjoy the lessons although I doubt I'll ever have any need for it.

I learn new things on my lot every day. Something that I did not know before.

I head down many bunny trails in my quest for knowledge. Creating is something I love to do. Stretching my abilities, learning new skills. Sometimes I finish a project and say “never again”. This was one of those!
