Cup of Bitter Coffee

Indonesia

Recently my friends and I gathered at a cafe and drank coffee together. But this meeting was different. Some of my friends didn't order sweet coffee but they ordered coffee without sugar, in other words bitter coffee. I also tried it. After a few sips, it seems I don't like bitter coffee. How about Mylot's friends, have you ever drank coffee without sugar or bitter coffee? Pic : kompas.com

I can't have it if it's too bitter and strong. I am not much into coffee and being a diabetic I go for any thing without sugar. But then my coffee has enough milk and very little coffee so that it does not become too strong or bitter.

@Charlesbronson Yes, I manage it well with food, exercise and lifestyle changes. Not easy but then I am focused to do it.

I can't drink bitter coffee. I always need to add sugar and milk inside. I always appreciate those people who can drink bitter coffee as I feel like drinking the herbs

I haven’t used sugar in my coffee since 1976. I used a bit of cream or a splash of milk. Pre Covid (2019) my husband and I travelled for 8 weeks. Our coffee order was messed up so often we switched to black coffee. I don’t think I could go back to adding anything to my coffee.

@Charlesbronson I’ve never worried about blood sugar. I gave up sugar in my coffee when the doctor thought I was gaining too much weight when I was pregnant with my first child, once I learned to drink coffee without sugar, I never liked sweetened coffee again.
