Still Waiting to Hear from Textbroker

I applied to be a writer for Textbroker (for the 2nd time) last Wednesday night (5/11). The first time I applied with them many years ago, I heard back from them and was accepted within 3 days. Today marks the 6th day since I applied this time around. And since the workday is over, I guess I am not going to hear anything today. So, either they are not too keen on what I wrote and are dragging their feet about whether or not to accept me back, OR they are just really busy and backed up over at Textbroker. I hope it's the latter, but the longer it takes to hear back from them, the more I am convincing myself it's the first part of the above sentence. Either way, I am on pins and needles about my Textbroker status. Can you relate to the pins and needles?

Sounds like they may have lots of submissions to go through. Wonder how many staff they have for the task

@erictsuma Aw, thanks, but I am not so sure about that. It's nighttime for me now. So I will have a nice night, and I hope you have a nice day!

Why did you have to apply again if you were accepted many years ago?

@toniganzon I used to write for Textbroker for about 5 years but I stopped writing for them about 2 years ago. When I went back to log in and check my bank account there, they had closed my account and I was no longer a writer there. I never checked the rules there about whether or not they close your account after there has been no action on it for a certain amount of time. I am thinking that there is. If I get accepted back again, I will definitely check that out so that it doesn't happen again to me. But maybe they don't accept writers back and that's why I haven't heard yet? I don't know. Time will tell I guess.

@Kouponkaren That explains it. That's why it's very important to read the rules.

Every organisation seems slow to get back to their customers lately. I hope you hear soon.

@JusyEv Thanks, I hope so too. My mom used to use the expression "a watched window never reveals." I think that's true about a watched email box as well, LOL!

Try explaining your situation that you were not aware of the account closure.

@ihasaquestion I think it's water under the bridge now since the account was already closed. But I got accepted today so I am on my way.
