As usual, I'm going to maintain my sterling reputation for absolute neutrality when it comes to controversial social issues. Especially the thornier ones that tend to really rile some people up. Ones like Abortion. Which, coincidently enough, is today's subject. To wit, an article entitled "5 Pro-Life Strategies for Post-Roe America." About which, all you're going to get from me is the facts, ma'am. Just the facts. No personal opinions. And you're not even getting all the facts. Because Drusilla, my Agent, says I've been too long-winded lately and she's tired of seeing countless TLDRs in my fan mail. Let's get the Boiler Plate out of the way. This is a typical Anti-Abortion Fantasy Rant written by a frustrated and angry old white man who doesn't think anyone else should have any fun (Or peace of mind and security) either and desperately wants to control women. As usual, he desperately tries and fails to pass Abortion off as a Human Rights matter that equates to slavery. He also pretends that God, the Current World and History are all on his side---With no mention of 80% of all Americans supporting Choice. There's also no mention of what the disastrous SC decision might do to the midterms ((#TheUselessDemsHaveAChance)). You can check out the rest of the ridiculousness with a fast click---And take note of the fact that he doesn't mention rape or health risks at all---It's completely immaterial because if you are able to get pregnant, your body belongs to the state and you will obey its' order to have the baby, however it is produced. Even if it kills you. Or is a constant reminder of the worst day of your life ((Stop being negative about it because rape is a good thing: Pregnancy from rape an ‘opportunity,’ Ohio Rep. Jean Schmidt says)). That is, if you live in a red state---Because that's how they define Freedom. I'll close with one last completely objective observation. This article contains a very rare but completely fictional nod to common sense in the form of acknowledging the need for improved childcare funding. He fails to mention that that's something we need to do anyway (And have needed to do since the start), even if we don't force a lot of new unwanted babies to be born. And we continue to not do it. Especially in red states. And that is not going to change. ************** Pregnancy from rape an ‘opportunity,’ Ohio Rep. It seems that (at least for one country) we are no more considered a "Neutral" country.

I have noticed that trend but I am a traditionalist. Switzerland will always be the gold standard of neutrality to me.

@xander6464 - I have the same opinion. It's not because the Swiss Federal Council decided to fully adopt the sanctions against Russia that we have renounced to our neutrality.

@LadyDuck I don't see that as a detriment to neutrality, either.

I don't know how clueless a person would have to be to call rape an "opportunity".

What shocks me is that that story isn't getting more press.

@FayeHazel Exactly like that...Except to a lot of people, getting shot or mugged isn't quite as traumatic.

@xander6464 SMH. That's like calling getting mugged or shot an opportunity.....

Another ridiculous thing to stir up trouble courtesy of the far right.

The good thing is that this one is making lots of people angry because anger sometimes gets things done.

Wait. Are you sure that some Republicans are not into funding social programs for unwanted babies? I mean rape babies and such like.

They briefly give it some lip service once in a while but I've never seen one make even so much as a token effort to do anything about it. But I haven't checked the papers yet today, so maybe that's changed.
