At home and not on the road.

Today is supposed to be the funeral for my mother-in-law, but my husband, George, and I aren't going. He doesn't feel comfortable driving out of town to a city/town he's never been to. Only for a half-hour service. A service that feels more like a business arrangement then something for grieving loved ones. We don't need to see the wall where his parents would be laid to rest so-to-speak. I am glad to be home, too, with my husband. Feeling safe. I did ask him if he's okay with this, and he's made his peace with it.

I am sorry your husband lost his mother. I do understand not going if you're not comfortable with the driving. I am glad he is feeling right about it, that's good.

It was over a year ago now, hard to believe, really. Turned out good we didn't go, because it was rainy and I can't help drive.

Keep busy. Keep the mind occupied. Still, have time to reflect on a wonderful life.
