Hey mylotters. So this AFP graduate program. If I get in it will be in pretty much every other major city apart from Adelaide... Out of the cities the cheapest to live is Perth. I doubt we choose where we go. The only issue is I dont have a paying job currently, so I dont have a lot of savings... Which means if I get in I dont know how I am going to live and work. So I am frantically scraping together cents and dollars just in case I get in. I looked into going to ebay and offering trades on pokemon sword and shiel for a bit of money and something to do in my spare time as I already play videogames. Not sure what else to do though.

I don't know how things work in Australia but check and see if there's student/class housing you can get, then check and see if there's help for groceries in whatever city you'll be moving to, as well as assistance for home bills. Some places in the US offer assistance to get set up but not for longer than the first month or two. Good luck! Edit to add: You should also check with your guidance councilor and see if s/he has any suggestions.

They said they will provide some assistance with relocation. Yeah Ill probably earn too much for the assistance when I get in but in limbo where it isnt enough to pay rent and eat. I could live in a share house but when I move mum wont be able to pay bills or rent so I feel obliged to take her with me. But she has been so negative in the "thats not gonna work" it's really off putting.

@Fa_Maverick *sigh* Yeah, other people always want to put a crimp in everything. Whatever you do, I hope it all works out for you. (I think I'd go back to the councilor and tell him about your mom and see if there's anything else s/he can suggest. You never know.)
