A very busy morning.

I got up at 7:00am this morning to get ready for Auntie Dorothy and Uncle Terry coming this afternoon after they invited themselves round! (Rude!) After I'd had my breakfast I moved stuff off the settee to allow them to sit down and I had to move stuff from in front of the settee too to allow for leg room. Then I did some dusting and sweeping up and while I was doing that a button came off my new blouse that I'd got from the Heart Foundation charity shop! So I had to go and get changed. Then I did some more sweeping up. I got ready to go to the shop at 10:00am. Mum gave me £30 in 1 £20 and 1 £10. She also gave me an extra £2 in 50p pieces. Then I went to the shop. On the way to the shop I saw a group of people with a couple of dogs talking about the Dogs Behaving Very Badly man and what he'd been saying about dog behaviour! When I got to the shop I got 2 TV magazines, 1 for Mum and 1 for my step-dad. I got 2 packets of shortbread fingers, 1 for when the relatives come, and 1 for my Mum and step-dad later. I got some strawberries again. Then I got my plant based bacon rashers. Next I got some egg custard tarts, 2 bars of chocolate, and 2 bottles of milk for my Mum. Then I got my soy milk and my mini soy yoghurts. I went to the till and payed. It came to £20.15p so those 50p pieces came in handy. But my mum had forgotten to give me her Tesco club card. Then I came home and unpacked the groceries. I'm going to do some sweeping up in a minute and move some stuff off the arm of the chair. I don't know where I'm going to put them but hey ho! How is your day going so far?

Hope you had a nice visit with your relatives... family good to count on in time of need. Sounds like a nice shopping day, though, no Mom's card.

No I didn't have a nice visit with my relatives. They're not even blood relations. She's my step-dad's sister. I went in my bedroom to read and when I came out again they were gone.

We've been up since 3;20am and hubby is almost to work and I've been working online. I think I'm about to switch over to Hell's Kitchen because the football channel isn't telling me anything new. Hopefully you have a great day :)

Thank you very much, but I don't know if I'm going to have a great day with these uninvited relatives coming down! My Mum says if they criticise our house today after all the trouble we've been to she's going to swing for someone! I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer on BBC1.

@sharonelton I have to agree with her lol You'll probably have fun once they're there though. What's that about?

@JordanLader We won't have fun. I'll probably be in the other room part of the time anyway. Then when I come back in I'll be making my dinner. Homes Under the Hammer is about people buying properties at auction and doing them up. We see what the house is like first, then we see who bought it and how much for, then they get interviewed about why they bought the place and what they are going to do with it, how long they think it's going to take and their budget. Then later on in the show we see how they got on and what the place looks like now.

It is rude when people invite themselves. I hope they don't stay too long and their visit isn't horrible

@sharonelton Madam Butterfly sounds like a good escape from Terrys voice

@Marilynda1225 Never used to like opera! Then they had madam butterfly playing on the Doctor Who TV movie from 1996, and then we got into Andre Rieu, so.....

Yes, it is. I went into my bedroom and read while listening to Madam Butterfly on CD. It did help to drown out Terry's voice a bit!

I'm glad it isn't just our house that has stuff on the seats and the floor! Hope you have a nice visit.

@Fleura I hope so too. Terry's voice could give Brian Blessed a run from his money. And he comes from Devon so he's got that accent! I don't like it! And they criticise everything. They criticised the fact I have so many books and said I should take them to the Oxfam shop. I said I was reading them and then taking them to the Tesco book swap and they said well you can't get rid of that many all at once then can you? WHO SAID I WANTED TO? And Dorothy's going deaf aswell like my step-dad so they end up shouting at each other so they can hear!

I'm glad we are not the only ones too. It will not be a nice visit! I can't wait till they've been and gone!

@sharonelton Some relatives can be disturbing but when they want to visit it’s hard to say no.

I did not enjoy it! I couldn't wait to get out of there! I watched the end of Neighbours and then I went in my bedroom to read. When I came back to start my dinner they'd gone. Thank goodness!

No, not celebrating anything. They just decided to invite themselves. They do it every year. It's getting a bit monotonous!
