My Heart Is Heavy Today

My daughter and I are missing our friend, Billy, today. He was the older brother of a friend of my daughter's from her school days. He had a thing for my daughter for years and always came over on her birthday. He became my granddaughter's godfather when I needed help back when I had guardianship of her. He had been a very good friend to her as well.
Back a couple of years ago he was in a fatal motorcycle accident coming back down from the mountains one evening. It was a while before we heard about it and even longer before we really grasped the fact that we had lost Billy.
He was such a dear friend. He is missed.
