I had to wash some conundrum tonight. I forgot all about this bag of dirty money I means dirty as in the bag had dirt in. The kids brought it one day I can’t even remember how long ago this was so it’s been sitting inside the house for a while didn’t hear of anyone looking for lost coins and it’s not like there is a lot of it for me to report to the police they would have just laughed and says keep it. So I washed the coins in hot water and soap using a glove, then poured baking soda and vinegar to help remove some more of the dirt. Some of the coins I couldn’t get clean at all because they are rusted. One coin was so bad it looks like something tried to take nibbles out of it. Two of the coins I found are not even US coins they are European coins and of course one token from some play places (like Chuck E. Cheese). I do plan on Tuesday when the bank is open those few coins that are in bad shape to be turned in.

I guess if you count them all, it would be some decent amount. Can you get them exchanged for currency notes when you visit the bank??

Why would count them? I just placed in my change container and will take to the change counter and get a gift card our banks don’t take coins any more unless their is something wrong with the as for exchanged for currency I don’t know if our bank does it or not which I can ask them on Tuesday when they are open.

@arunima25 I don’t know not all bankies deal with currcent and it doesn’t mean it’ll be notes we don’t call cash notes here they are bills and they still might not be able to give it they might only be able to put into my Account which is fine

I have found money in the beaches in the US. It was when I could bend down so I picked them all.

@marguicha that doesn’t make us rich. It’s easy to lose a coin let it gets stuck in your pocket. Most people in the US use cards currently not many places are willing to take cash, coins are change like pennies, dimes, nickels and Quarter. That doesn’t mean just going outside are you going to find change on the ground nope doesn’t happen like that.

You can find change every just walking around. Parking lots and store floors. If I see change I pick it up bring it joke out in my bins either wrap them myself or take them to the change counter and get a giftcard

I didn’t count the money I put it into my change bank like I do with all of the change I have beside a few in my wallet. I didn’t feel lien counting through a bowl of change at 10pm at night.

I have found coins that are dirty and you wonder what happened to some of them.
