I was looking for a new AC adapter for my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro laptop because it had connection issues and then the power cord ripped.
After doing a search online and not being able to find the exact one that came with my laptop, and in new condition, I went on the Lenovo website and decided to talk to a sales rep to help me find what I need.
To chat with a rep I had to provide my full name, my phone number, and my email. I shouldn't need to provide all that info to ask a question. I did not want to go through with it initially but caved in because I don't want to get something that is not correct for my laptop.
A guy came online and I told him what I was looking for. He found me an AC adapter that resembles mine and is supposedly compatible with my laptop. I gave him my laptop's model # and he confirmed that this should work. The price was $69.99 and with a discount it would be $53.99, not including tax and shipping. I was gonna get it at first but then noticed it said ships in 2+ months. I wasn't gonna wait that long so didn't buy it.
Found that same AC adapter online at Staples for $69.99 but no discount. Was ready to buy that as it's available but decided to check Amazon again. Found one from some third-party seller for a very cheap price of $10. I don't even remember if it was new. Didn't want to buy from an unknown third-party seller and $10 seemed way to cheap, which left me skeptical. So, I decided to check other sellers and by some sheer luck found Amazon as one of the sellers. Only one left in stock. Price $29.99. I ordered it right away. It will arrive next week. I hope it will work with my laptop like the Lenovo rep said.

I love how just about every product shown on the website says “Hurry!!! Only one left!” Lol
Glad you found a charger at a good price. Are you going to be able to keep your laptop charged for a week while you wait for the new charger to come in?

@lovebuglena Sometimes those upgrades really mess with the operating systems of the computers.

Right now, I am either using my iPhone to go online or hubby's (slow) laptop. It's weird. He upgraded his Windows from 7 to the new one and computer is slow now. Takes forever to turn on/off and load stuff.

Well, it's not exactly the same adapter (model #) as what came with my laptop but Lenovo guy said it will work. Fingers crossed. Wonder why price was not $69.99 and crossed out and then $29.99 next to it but instead just $29.99. Seller was Amazon LLC so assuming that's Amazon, which is what I wanted.

@LindaOHio I am counting on the fact that it was a Lenovo sales rep I was talking to. I'd think he wouldn't give me the incorrect info, though at first the charger he offered me had the wrong USB.

I hate putting in all that information in, too, but often it's to confirm who you are (because you're usually talking to a bot) or to allow them to reconnect if you get disconnected. Hopefully, this does work like you hope.

Fingers crossed that everything works. I need my laptop. Among other things, I use it to pay all my mom's bills online. So much easier to do it from my laptop than a small iPhone screen.

I was searching before on Amazon and the adapter I got did not come up with Amazon as the seller. Found that by accident next day. Glad I decide to look at Amazon again or I'd have ended up paying $69.99 + tax. I realize now I should have used my Amazon gift card to pay for the ac adapter, even if I potentially have to return, which is why I didn't use gift card.

My laptop is Lenovo and charger is Lenovo. Looks pretty much like mine though not same model #. And Lenovo guy said it should work with my laptop so hope it will. It said on Amazon that ac adapter is new. And seller was Amazon LLC, which I am assuming is Amazon.

Not a bad deal for a new adapter to get it from Amazon. And what a steal!

Paying $30 + tax is better than $70 + tax. And I got free shipping and don't have to wait months for it.
