Saw this online for days now. He is actor Johnny Depp the actor of the Pirates of the Caribbean. He just won a court battle against his former wife fellow actress Amber Heard.
Their court hearing was televised and mixtures of emotions took.place while watching it. I am not sure why they let it get televised but I think its an added pressure on their attorneys to be honest.
Good thing truth is finally revealed now and one moral of their case is that any gender can be a victim of all forms of violence and in order for it to stop, one must be brave enough to face all consequences. Freedom of speech is everybody's right but lying just to make someone look bad is not okay.
I hope he can regain his acting career back and be free from what happened.

Johnny wanted it televised because he wanted his side of the story heard because he never got a chance to say it. There are many cons to a televised trial, but honestly, I think more should be, because you get to hear the stories and the public gets to know and more innocent people won't be found guilty and fewer guilty people will be acquitted. I am so happy for him, he deserves to be free and keep doing what he loves. Sadly, his battle isn't over yet, but no matter what, his fans are here for him and he knows he is loved.

@DesirousDreamer You are so right, this is the only way to hear what the two sides have to say.

It's a good thing he was able to turn things around. The key to his success was finding a good lawyer to defend him. Meanwhile, we'll see if the ex-wife can afford to pay him the damages that she is obligated to pay. It is unusual for the courts to prefer a male plaintiff in circumstances like this, because men are almost usually at fault.

That whole situation was a trainwreck. Have you heard though, that they are replacing him as Jack Sparrow? Apparently, he kept the crew on the movie waiting for hours, that combined with the negative publicity from the trial finds him out of a job. However, I am sure he will find other work.
