French fried onions

If you've ever had green bean casserole, then you're familiar with these crunchy bits of deliciousness. I won't touch green bean casserole, but I can almost make a meal of these things. I've bought them to use for some planned recipe only to eat them all before I ever make anything.
Am I the only one who loves these little tidbits of joy all by themselves?

I was just thinking that I would caramelise an onion and eat it as a sandwich.

We add these kind of fried onions to our dishes like biryani and spicy veggies curry. And it does taste good as a side dish or stand alone snacks too

@jerzgirl It's an optional thing..some people add it to the biryani. I add them.
Biryani is for special occasions. It's rich and heavy.
