Shopping at the big Tesco.

We went shopping at the big Tesco this afternoon again. Before we went out my Mum saw the cleaners going into the house across the road. They had a pink Hetty vacuum cleaner and my Mum decided there and then that she wanted to get a Henry vacuum cleaner which is a red one. (Hetty and Henry vacuum cleaners are like cylinder shaped with a dome on top and they are supposed to be very good.) So off we went to the shop. When my step-dad had dropped us off we did the usual things, put the recycle in the receptacle, went up to the main shopping hall in the lift, went to get the sandwiches. Then Mum wanted to get a defuzzer to get the fuzzy bits off jumpers and socks and things but we couldn't find one. But she wanted that Henry vacuum cleaner, so she asked one of the shop assistants if they had any so she took us to them. The Henry cost £149. I asked my Mum if she had enough money for it and she said she'd brought an extra £200 especially for the Henry. So the shop assistant put the Henry in the trolley for us! Mum picked up a box of Henry vacuum bags to go with it. With the Henry in the trolley there was only a third of the trolley space left for other things. We got some strawberries and four pints of milk for my Mum but the rest of the stuff was mainly my stuff, except for some baked potatoes and egg custard tarts, and a tin of soup and a pot noodle for my step-dad. We saw one of the ladies that we used to know from Church called Nora. She hadn't noticed us so when she turned round I said, Boo! and then started giggling! We stood talking to her for about ten minutes! When we got to the till the lady on our till had a bit of trouble getting the tag off the Henry. She had to ask another one of the till ladies to come and get it off for her. They had a special machine that undoes the tag. I don't know how they do it. All the shopping, including the Henry, came to £203 something. It was only 3:40pm when we went to sit on a bench, and my step-dad comes and fetches us at 4:15pm so we had plenty of time to waste. I went and swapped a book at the Tesco book swap and then sat down on the bench and started to read it! It's called The Little White Horse and it's been made into a film called The Secret of Moonacre which I've got on DVD because one of my favourite actors, Ioan Gruffudd, is in it. I swigged a bit of my water too. My Mum told me that my step-dad had been trying to get in touch with Argos on the computer about the second trolley but with no luck. He at least wants to know if he actually payed for the second trolley because he swears that the invoice email that he got said only 1 trolley to be delivered to our house, not 2! Then, at 4:10pm, we went down on the lift to wait for my step-dad. He got there just as we'd stood at the pick up point to wait for him. I don't know what he thought when he saw the Henry! He just managed to get it in the boot of the car with the other groceries! Then we went home. Now Mum has got to find some place to put the Henry. How was your day?

A nice day with new vacuum cleaner, nice. Glad your Mother's husband carted you both home. Well, good luck about the extra pull cart situation, too. I'm about to go near by Marukai, for my bottle water and veggies.

Good morning and thank you very much. Mum still hasn't tried out her new vacuum. She also hasn't dismantled our own old trolley to get rid of. We went shopping down town on Friday with the new trolley, taking it in turns to push it and get used to it.

We call our vacuum cleaner Roberta as it's a one of those robotic ones that takes itself around the floor.

That's good. You can just sit back and watch the robotic vacuum cleaner do all the work!

Good morning and thank you very much. Henry has a reputation of being a very good vacuum cleaner. My Mum hasn't tried it out yet. Yes, we did have a busy day. Nothing doing today. Staying in all day watching telly, mylotting, cooking and reading all day!
