Is sinusitis connected to gerd or acid reflux? / myLot

My ENT always gives me Omeprazole whenever I visit her for a checkup because my nasal congestion doesn't go away. I have trouble sleeping at night and all the nasal sprays and oral meds don't work. I wonder if the sinusitis has something to do with acid reflux.

According to an online article by the New York Otological Group, reflux is one o the main causes of chronic sinusitis. "Reflux of stomach acid into the throat and nose is one of the most common underlying causes of sinusitis. @jeanbug23 You are welcome. I've had reflux since my gall bladder was removed. Sore throats and sinus pain have been a constant since as well.
