After reading the discussion post of OceanTiarra, I just wanted to share this first job I had or shall say, first business. When, I was only 10 years old, my first job or let's say my first business was being a sweet delicacies vendor. I used to be that not because we're poor and nothing to eat and wanted to help my father low salary that time. I love to play with other children on their marble toys even anime playing cards, however, my parents (my father was the only one working while mother was only a plain housewife) had no extra money for me as well as my siblings to buy those toys. That I decided after my school hours around 2:00pm everyday, I'm drop by to the nearby sweet delicacies store to buy with my small capital of Php20.00 that time, I don't know the equivalent of that into dollar that time. I earned that capital from my allowances, instead of wasting my allowances from toys, I'll save about 50% of it until it reaches my first own capital and resell while on the way home. I'm walking for about 2 miles while shouting the name of the delicacies to catch attention of others wanted to eat sweets. Then before 4;00pm, my sweet delicacies will be sold out. And I'll just save the capital to buy again for tomorrow's sweets and resell again. And the profit, I'll buy marbles and/or anime playing cards for me to play with other kids. I'm not saving the profit because I still want to play with other kids. Hope you like my first job as a seller or maybe a business sort of? What's your first business? How young are you then?

That was a very good and creative way to make a little money. My first venture was a lemonade stand. I don't remember how young I was.

@luisga814 It was just in front of my house. A lot of kids did that back in the 50s.

Thanks. Maybe being poor makes me decide that.

That was one way to start. My husband was about 8 when he started shining shoes. I was 18 when I had my first job, but I also had strict parents, so yeah. I worked hard. I'm officially unemployed, but I still work on my earning sites, and that while being a wife is my job.

Very creative. That was a good idea to sell sweets to save and buy for your toys,
