Elliot has been settled into his new home in our backyard. I hope he likes the spot. According to the guidance I read, it should provide all the sunshine and soil type he needs to flourish. I just have to remember to water him often. K cooked me a delicious breakfast this morning: a sausage, egg, and cheese scramble with hash browns. She prepared it at my request. Then it was time for my Fathers' Day presents from the dogs and the Beast. Yes, the Beast, my F250 Pickup. What did the Beast give me, you ask? My truck gave me a hitch insert with Veteran at the top, the US Army seal in the middle, and US Army at the bottom. I've been fussing for a while about needing a hitch insert but never got around to getting one. Now I have one. The irony is that it doesn't fit the truck hitch receiver, but it does fit the hitch receiver on the back of the camper. Ace and Sophie gave me a t-shirt that says Best Dog Daddy Ever and has a picture of a mini-Schnauzer wearing sunglasses on it. K gave me a lightweight jacket similar to the one Sophie ruined by chewing off the zipper when she was a wee little pup. All in all, it's been a good Fathers' Day so far. I hope your day went, is going, or does go well.
