We Should Be Wary of the Cassowary Bird

This bird is known for the tall horny crest on its head. Related to the emu this predator can be well over 6 feet tall, and weigh as much as 130 pounds. They have long legs and black feathers across their bodies and featherless long legs. Living mostly in New Guinea they also can be found in northwestern Australia and the Aru Islands. They have no known predators due to them being very aggressive and have long dagger-like claws on each foot which have been known to disembowel much larger creatures even an occasional human.
They are 59-79 inches tall and can run 30 miles per hour. They live for 40-50 years. They are ratites which means they have flat breastbones and are unable to fly.

Yep I know about this bird and it is best to keep a good distance from it but it is an impressive looking bird

@celticeagle Yeah, that is right. They are finding evidence that dinosaurs had a lot of the qualities you find in birds.

This is the first time I see this bird or fowl. It looks like an emu which I have seen in magazine.
