Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 81 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. It is a perfect beach day! Unfortunately I am not at the beach. I am here at the same place I've been showing up to for the past week. It is almost 10 am and there are only 3 of us here. One of the counselors said yesterday that people roll in later on the weekends. Obviously they aren't really rigid about rules here. I have officially completed the "protocol" for detox. The nurse said that he will draw blood again on Tuesday or Wednesday to check the ammonia levels and if they are where he wants them to be then I will be done here and can continue counseling at a facility much closer to where I live. I asked about missing tomorrow to attend my brother-in-law's sister's funeral but he said that I needed to come here afterward in order to "check in"--whatever that means. The funeral is an hour west and this place is almost an hour north and I really don't feel like driving all over the state tomorrow. I think I'll just come here and miss the funeral. My BIL knows what the situation is and he will understand. I did not sleep well at all last night. There is definitely a chance of me falling asleep in this recliner if they don't get something going soon. I have to remember to take the sleeping medication tonight. No big plans for the afternoon/evening after I get finished here. I'm sure I'll hang with the Moroccans for a bit. Who knows what else I'll get up to? What's everyone else doing on this Sunday?
