no Increment

June 27, 2022 11:55pm CST
This year I will be on same Salary as that of last year, as today I got a call from my manager told me that I won't get increment this year. And HR is planning to make working hours as 6 days a week I am not sure how to react to this. But I would need suggestion, how you would have reacted to this if you where in my position

I will quit the job and look for another one. I did this in the past. Joined a company with awful working conditions. I left after a week but it took me 6 months to get another job

Exactly! I've quit a job for doing that, too... but I had another job within two weeks. There is NO reason to put up with a company doing that!

How important is this job to you? If that happened to me, I'd be searching for another job while I continued to work for this company. (If another company was interested in interviewing me, I'd take a day or at least a few hours off while I did the interview...) IF you don't NEED the job, I'd tell them what they could do with the overtime hours without them offering an increment... or tell them give the increment or else I'll quit. *shrug* Things like this are why you thought people in the US quit their job so often. Most of us won't put up with things like that. If you need, I will go back to work and send money to you while you look for a new job... You're my little brother and I'll help you if you'll let me.

Oh that's so bad. I faced a similar situation some years back. But we never had the 6 days working condition. You should have a meeting with the Top Management where you and your colleagues can put up your side.
