I Think He Could Have Knocked

About 10a. the maintenance man came. We had called Sunday and left a message about our washer. It was leaking again. We just had them over a couple of weeks back because the water was leaking all over the floor. They lent us a nice new one that we were spoiled by for a couple of days until the old one was brought back. Now it is leaking again.
So the maintenance guy changed a washer and said he would be back in a while to check it. Asked for sure if ok to just come in. Yes, ok. So, we got on with our day and forgot about it.
All of a sudden a man comes popping in the door. Not used to having people in at all. We had given him the okay but we sure were not ready for some strange man to just pop in the door with no announcement like a polite knock or something.
Oh, well. All over and hope the washer doesn't leak anymore.

I made the decision long ago to not buy but to rent just for that reason. I was on my own and I feared I couldn't afford repairs and such.

@celticeagle A washer and dryer isn’t provided in my apartment. I didn’t have a choice. We have a washerette in our complex . When my washer and dryer wear out I’ll likely go there other than buying again.

Inefficient service? Why the washer leaked? They should check it and fix it.

They have supposedly checked and fixed it several times. This is the third time now. They replace stuff and it continues to leak so they try something else. My daughter is to the point she is afraid to use it.

@Nakitakona .......Yes, exactly. I think that they are trying very hard to avoid that.

@celticeagle But why it couldn't be fixed. It implies then that you have to replace it with a new one.

Now my daughter is afraid to use it for fear it will leak some more. Maintenance is very busy with inspections at another site. Hope it works now so we don't have to call them back again.

@LindaOHio ........I just can't figure out why they put it back in our unit without changing out the washers.
