Why Philippines is not like Sri Lanka?

The reason our country is far from being like Sri Lanka situation is because
we have a lot of OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) working abroad.
So whenever the local economy is not doing well.
We have millions of Filipinos sending money back home and
the Filipino workers are spread all over the globe.
This is like the safety net that helps our economy from being bankrupt.
Now you might ask, why Filipinos are the most chosen workers around the globe?
Because the average filipinos knows how to speak English well.

It is wonderful to know well snother language. But I´m sure that Filipinos are also chosen workers because they work well.

They can work here in the Philippines.
But the reason they chose to work abroad is because of the salary abroad is 3 times or 5 times higher, Compare that if you work only here in the Philippines.

Yeah ,i`m From Sri Lanka , Lot of Sri Lankans also living abroad and working also , Our main export money due from abroad workers and tourism , due to covid we have down with the tourism ,
those who are working abroad people have myth that politicians will stealing money if they send to Sri Lanka , Then they will send money though illegal ways , that is the main reason , For that government need to change , and then they will again send money ,, that is the thing
