Blood pressure is still nuts

I honestly never know what it is going to be when the nurse measures it. They do it first thing in the morning at the center when I arrive and they medicate me and then in the afternoon before they medicate me and I leave. I've had high blood pressure issues for several years. At one point I was on 4 different medications but after losing almost 100 pounds I am down to a low dose of just 1 medication. It has been doing the job. . . until now. Sometimes the nurse will take it and it will be in a normal 120-ish/80-ish range. Most of the time it is closer to 130-140/100 but sometimes it has been 150 and 160/100. This afternoon it was 170/100! I asked for some clonidine (Catapres) and he gave me what he called is the "nurse's dose". Typically they give 0.25mg but because it was so high he gave me 0.5mg. I asked him about calling the cardiologist to increase the dose of my nightly BP medicine but he said to just wait until I get through this part of the process because it could still just be my body getting used to things. I just hope that the numbers are better tomorrow. If I get stressed about it then they will only remain high.

Last year my blood pressure went so high I was hospitalized . It was because of Stress my son and my better half had passed away and I was living on nerves. I was put on higher dodesof meds for awhile and my BP came down and my dosages were lowered and now I only have to take medication occasionally. So don’t worry too much about yours and try to relax. This too shall pass.
