Thanks to the team up of the Nanaimo Fire Department firefighters as well as the employees of Public Works staff of the city of Nanaimo which is located in British Columbia on Friday afternoon a potential tragic event had a happy ending.
The owner of the 12 year old dog named Dobby called the authorities to rescue his pet after Dobby entered into a drainage system which caused Dobby to be trapped in an area in deep water where several pipes met where Dobby struggled to stay afloat.
The rescue team used a blanket covered hose into the drain where Dobby used his teeth to grab on to the blanket covered hose so he could be taken out of harms way and into a reunion with his owner.
Thanks to the efforts of both the public works employees and the firefighters, Dobby who was tired from his time inside of the drainage system to reunite with his owner tired and in good shape.

I agree with you that the door dog is grateful to be alive.

Glad Dobby was rescued but I wonder why the silly doggy went in there in the first place
