Helping poor people gives you a lot of happiness. Poor people are also residents of the same society. There is a great wisdom in this that when you have tension, do good to someone poor, it will help you a lot. There is a free medicine that will benefit you a lot. It will give you a great thing. Yep they are also part in the society. But sad thing is most rich people just ignore them, or give them something but there is a challenge or need to do first.

Helping poor people does not only mean giving them money. There are many ways to help those in need. We can offer them food, give them things still good that we do not use anymore. Those who are rich can also help giving money.

@LadyDuck I agree that there are many ways to help. In Oregon, USA there is a huge homeless problem. People bring trucks with portable showers, so that some of these poor people can get clean. They provide food and clothes and try to help them get an apartment.

I help the poor whenever I can. In India we have beggars, I give alms to them whenever I can. Of late I am teaching English to my maids daughter free of cost. We as interacters used to teach poor children free of cost.

I saw a homeless man today and it broke my heart. I can't stand the thought of people going homeless or hungry.
