A reintroduction of myself for those of you who may not know some of this

I think it may be time to introduce myself here for those who haven't followed me for as long. When I first joined I wasn't even a mom or wife yet and then several of us moved to another blogging site and then came back here and I feel like when we came back things were just kind of different. I go by Sissy on here because that was a nickname my grandma gave me as a kid and my grandma died when I was five but she had such an impact on that time of my life despite me being so young when she died and this is how I honor her even if no one actually calls me that anymore. I am 35 and married to my husband who I've been with for 13 years and married to for five years and we have an 11 year old son. I live in Ohio and have two cats. I have 7 older brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews and even great nieces and nephews because my parents were older when they had me and there is a large age gap between me and my several of my older siblings. I love old movies, I love music, and have a very eclectic taste in music that I listen to a ton of different genres. I grew up on oldies (50 and 60s music mostly) and country music and branched off into other genres as I got older. I seem to love useless trivia especially movie trivia. I work at an elementary school with kids that have special needs but are still in a regular classroom setting. I have been working with kids since I was a teenager. I have anxiety and my son was born with a cleft lip so I am pretty passionate about those topics. I don't like people dismissing either condition as no big deal. I am a fairly mellow person but also don't take well to others being bullies. I always try to be respectful and don't believe in name calling I try the kill em with kindness approach. I get people are going to have differing views on a lot of things and that's ok but I've had people really get upset over what kind of cable I had when it literally had nothing to do with them. I mean there's a bit more to the story but no matter what way I looked at it I couldn't see anyone getting so upset over it or caring so much but to each their own. I have never understood why people get so upset over stuff that ultimately doesn't matter. Unless you are genuinely worried for someone because their life choices could genuinely get someone hurt I would say don't worry about it. It has nothing to do with you. I get sometimes it's hard not to judge I know I've judged when I probably shouldn't but some of the stuff I've seen others get so snippy and rude about really doesn't concern them or anyone for that matter. I genuinely can't figure out why they get so worked up over it but again each their own. I'll stick to my own beliefs and they can continue to get worked up over the small stuff. I also am a big believer if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it. Just ignore it and move on. I learned that the hard way over the years. If you are being respectful in disagreeing and can kindly say your side without putting the other person down that's one thing but most of the time I feel that's not the case. Most people just want to call others out for not agreeing with them and are rude about it. I get you have your opinions and that's fine but that doesn't make me an idiot because I don't agree with you it means I have a different viewpoint. I hate politics for this reason and refuse to talk to people about them. I try to keep my political views to myself most of the time. I am a pretty open-minded person and can see both sides often times but that doesn't mean I'll always agree with someone I just get where they are coming from. We all have reasons for why we believe what we believe and unless you're downright racist I'll respect them. Anyway, that's basically me in a nutshell. If you've read my previous posts I tend to think about life and childhood a lot. I get lost in my words a lot and I write longer posts because I have a difficult time breaking down thoughts when I write and my mind kind of gets away with me. I also don't write for money but as an outlet.

It is a nice place to share. I don't write for money so I've never cared if anyone even read what I wrote but I'm always happy to talk to people that do read and comment and appreciate them taking the time to read.

you're welcome, I've written about most of it before in various posts but unless you actually read them all people aren't going to know it all. Some of my posts go back several years so I wouldn't expect most people to remember or know it all. A lot of people think I'm older than I am because of my interests. Even as a teen I was found talking to people a lot older than me because people my age didn't like half of the stuff I did. As far as looks I always had people thinking I was younger than I am although now I think my anxiety is aging me lol.

I have known you for a while, yes. You seem to be the mylotter who enjoys posting really lengthy comments here. Am not a frequent poster here, but you write about some very intriguing subjects, so I always make sure to read your post when you have a new one.

@rsa101 I think you do a decent job. I can understand you so that's what counts. The more you write in English the better it will get. I can't speak other languages. I tried Spanish for a year but it just didn't stick. Half of the natural born English speakers I know don't speak it very well either sadly.

Ha, yeah, I'm pretty guilty of that but I'm glad you enjoy the subjects I talk about. Offline I'm not really the person I am on here. I don't talk half as much and actually enjoy my solitude. I do talk to people at work but when I go home the only people I really talk to are my husband and my son and I like it that way.
